For
the Seaport-e Program Contract, VSI is teamed with ReMilNet LLC, a
woman-owned small business established in 2003 as a vehicle to provide
assistance to the government by leveraging retired military and civil
servants to complete short and mid term projects. Because ReMilNet is a
small business, it remains flexible and can adjust with the customer as
needs change over time. ReMilNet’s philosophy is to reduce overhead and
maximize results to the customer. By using technology and eliminating
waste, it has a proven record of accomplishment of saving the government
money while completing the contract faster than its competitors. ReMilNet
uses experienced talent to complete jobs with little to no lead-time and a
short learning curve. Because many ReMilNet consultants have backgrounds
in the job at hand, less time is spent on management oversight and
administrative burdens.ReMilNet currently has a SECRET facility
clearance for all work performed. In addition, almost all of its
employees have active SECRET clearances. The majority of ReMilNet’s
personnel have at least a Bachelors degree, and almost half hold Masters
degrees in their specific fields.
Capitalizing on the retired military and civil servant market, ReMilNet
has been able to take the best talent and return it back to the government
on a contract-to-contract basis.
